• About Jake Seal

Jake Seal is originally from London, UK, but now considers himself a global citizen, traveling internationally in support of his business, philanthropic and research activities. Since 2015 his favoured base has been Louisiana, US, where he resides with his wife Jodie Seal (a former Miss Australia) and the couple’s four children.

Jake is an entrepreneur, producer and technologist; he is also the owner and founder of a number of businesses including ORWO Medical, ORWO Studios, ORWO Shop, Undivided and Metapixel.World. Part of the ORWO family, ORWO Medical is an in-house medical manufacturing, procurement and supply company – initially serving the film, television and events industries – that now provides its services to a range of related businesses on a bespoke basis.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, ORWO Medical expanded its medical supply offerings, dedicating infrastructure and resources to help first responders and hospitals obtain the PPE they required. During this time, the company also became an authorised and exclusive distributor of MEK EVO5 ICU ventilators to various parts of the world. Even though the pandemic has receded, ORWO Medical continues to work with governments on a local and state level, humanitarian groups and first responders to bring supplies to the front line as needed. Other products supplied by ORWO Medical include facemasks, hand sanitisers, disinfectant wipes, disposable gloves, reusable goggles and isolation gowns.

ORWO Medical offers PCR and LAMP-based COVID-19 testing, with results available within 60 minutes, and tests can be done on-site if required. Promate PCR tests are non-invasive, with the team able to test in blocks of 30 people to produce results within an hour. The BBC, CBBC, the movie Jeepers Creepers: Reborn and Liverpool Football Club are just some of the clients ORWO Medical has worked with to date.

Responsible for several firsts in the field of 3D, such as some of the first 2D to 3D conversions, Jake is widely recognised within the industry for both his innovation and his frequent championing of first-time directors including Ethan Hawke, Stephen Campanelli, Alex Pettyfer and Pascal Caubet, as well as less well-known directors such as Julie Pacino, Josh R. Rappaport and Maguy Cohen. Jake’s main professional areas of focus are around celluloid manufacturing, virtual sets, and research and development. He is also interested in embracing vintage production techniques, such as shooting on 65mm, 35mm and 16mm film.

Jake is a much sought-after speaker and educator and has delivered masterclasses and lectures at esteemed establishments worldwide, including Switzerland’s CERN facility and Canadore College, North Bay, Canada.
